A high carbon, high chromium air hardening tool steel that can be heat treated to high hardness and compressive strength. It has excellent wear resistance and is widely used in cold working applications where sharp edges, wear resistance and compressive strength are required.
Often considered a “all-around” cold work tool steel, it is a versatile air hardening tool steel. It is considered relatively easy to process in the annealed state, possessing high compressive strength and good dimensional stability during hardening and tempering. Used in a variety of cold work tools, from forming and cutting equipment to high wear parts.
It is harder than 17-4 PH stainless steel and retains its material properties at high temperatures, making it a very versatile material. It can be heat treated to UTS 1500 MPa and 45 HRC and is used for tool bodies, brazing fixtures and parts where hardness and heat resistance are required.
It conducts heat and electricity much better than traditional metals and has excellent conductive properties. Conventional manufacturing methods are extremely labor-intensive and expensive, but 3D printers have made it possible to easily create them.
A nickel-chromium-based superalloy that is extremely corrosion resistant and strong at high temperatures. Easy to build, you can produce functional prototypes or final parts designed for harsh environments.
